The recent announcement that NSS Executive Director Geroge Whitsides 
would be on the NPR Science Friday show prompted OASIS member Dr. 
Robert Brodsky to notify me that he would be making an appearance on 
the History Channel program "ALIEN ENGINEERING", part 1 to air 
February 6 with part 2 on February 13.

 From the show promotion:
"THIS IS AN EXERCISE IN IMAGINATION.  PREPARE YOURSELF.
SUPPOSE AN ALIEN SPACECRAFT HAS CRASHED IN THE
DESERTŠ  WE RECOVERED IT.  NOW WE'VE BEEN GIVEN THE
TASK OF DECODING THE TECHNOLOGY AND FIGURING OUT HOW
IT RUNS.

Dr. Brodsky gave OASIS a presentation on "lifeboats" for the space
