A panel discussion on “What is the NASA Flexible Path for human space exploration and why are we doing it?” This event will be part of a series of AIAA events being held nationwide, known as August is for Aerospace. Sponsored by the Los Angeles and Orange County Sections of the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA)
Confirmed panelists include:
Jeff Greason: Member of the Augustine Commission; President and Co-founder, XCOR Aerospace
Robert Zubrin: President and Founder, the Mars Society; Author; President and Founder, Pioneer Astronautics
Mark Hopkins: Chairman of the Executive Committee, the National Space Society
Invited panelists include: Apollo Astronaut and former U.S. Senator Harrison Schmitt; representatives of Boeing, Northrop Grumman, Lockheed Martin, and SpaceX; and elected officials from Southern California.
Moderator: Dean Davis, AIAA-Los Angeles Section Chairman and Deputy Director for K-12 STEM Education for AIAA, Western U.S.
